A small town Iowa lady married to a adventure seeking Italian. We enjoy traveling
and outdoor activities. Clean eating is a priority for us and we do our best to keep away from processed foods. But this doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy cheat days. Who doesn’t enjoy a few chips and dessert once in awhile.
We recently introduced fermented foods into our diet.
Kombucha, milk kefir,water kefir and fermented veggies. Along with eating healthy we also exercise on a regular basis.
Blogging will be a new adventure. A outlet to reach so many. To share and learn! I may not blog daily at first. As this is a work in progress.
I have 2 wonderful children and a step daughter and 2 grandsons. Justin is 26 and served 8 years in the Air Force. He ended his career as Staff Sergeant. During his service he deployed 6 months to Iraq in 2007and 1 month in Bahrain. In 2011 he served 4 months in Afghanistan. Justin was stationed at Offutt AFB all 8 years. He also attended College part time during his service and was placed on the Dean’s list during this time. Also received his Associates in Criminal Justice. He is now a full time college student at UNO. He has a beautiful wife, Elizabeth and 2 boys, Giovany and Andres.
Kayla is 21, she was home schooled during her HS years but also attended public high school part time. This was so that we could travel in Europe part of the year. After HS graduation she completed Beauty school with her Cosmetology License in October 2012, from LeMars Beauty college. She worked at 2 salons but times are tough in that area and she hasn’t been able to make a living, she is currently making “hair” house calls and is working full time as a waitress. Kayla and I started doing fun runs together in 2013. This is a fun mother-daughter bonding experience.
Even if that ‘teenie’ attitude comes out half way through.
Sheila is 23 and lives in Switzerland. She hasn’t decided what she wants to be when she grows up. She loves all things Anime and is great with graphics and is computer tech savvy. She makes the best Crepes smothered in Nutella.
